The Zoo was so much fun, not to mention very crowded. Thursday turned out to be a wonderful day and I think everyone took advantage of it. In fact, I think I can be safe in saying that every 2-3 year old in the greater Atlanta area was at the Zoo. It was trying at times but we ended up having a bunch of fun.

Spring Break 2008 - Part 1- San Deigo
If anyone knows me at all I have to be everywhere EARLY. So we left Marietta about 7Am for a 9AM flight. Good thing we did, because everyone in the state must have been on Spring Break. It was crazy.
This was right on the bay, close to the the cruise ships and homeless people
(In my other life, I would live on Coronado Island and take the Ferry in to San Diego to my ultra cool office overlooking the San Diego bay.)
Sarah got a flat tire and we got a heck of deal on the bike rentals
In front of the Hotel Del Coronado
It was very cold that day, so we just walked around and played in the sand
Please keep arms and feet within the vessel.
Next trip I am Kayaking. These folks were out there with all the big ships.
We had a really fun trip to San Diego for my meeting this year. We stayed long enough to have a good time but not get too bored. Suzy and I were in our "must see everything" mode, so we got up early and stayed out late exploring the city. I can now confidently say I know how to use the rail system. The food was excellent, I really enjoyed my Lobster burrito at the Rocking Baja Lobster, and my coconut covered french toast at the beach restaurant. The bike riding was great, the cruisers were so much more comfortable than a normal bike. The houses on Coronado were so beautiful, the residents walk or ride their bikes everywhere. I had a huge case of the "I wants" on the island.

My conference went well and Suzy & Sarah had such fun hanging out. Next year, the conference is in New Orleans. Suzy is already begging to go

Winter Guard Championships
They did terrific, scoring 8th place out of 18 guards.
It was a very exciting season, though I think Suzy is glad to have some off time.
If you ever have a chance to attend championships, I highly recommend it.
All the squads were incredible (one squad was jump-roping and twirling at the same time!)
I have to give a quick shout out to my GPS navigator, I don't think we would have ever gotten home without it. The highway was a mess due to all the spring break traffic. We ended up hitting detour on the navigator and had a fun ride through several small towns.

Easter 2008
We spent Easter at the Big Canoe. We had hoped to see Mom & Dad, Brad and his family but due to some changes in medications it just didn't work out this year. We sure did miss seeing everyone!
Uncle Ben, Jessica, and Papa McEver did join us in celebrating Easter. It was a fun day. I think everyone (including Coops) was worn out by the end of the day.

Ballin'
No Suzy, we can't take the cute, fuzzy bunny home
As for the Lenten season, the Cadbury egg was good but I was expecting a little bit more. I had a handful of peanut m & m's and some macaroni and cheese yesterday but it just wasn't as good as I had building it up in my mind. I have gotten over a couple of my big vices and well I just don't want to go back to having chocolate every day with cheese on everything I eat. With that said... we are getting carry out from California Pizza Kitchen tonight. Yummy!

Egg Hunt-o-rama
Are my ears straight?
Coops was trying to get a closer view of Mr. Llama
Eastside Baptist Church Egg Hunt 2008
Two of our local churches held egg hunts Saturday morning. It was a beautiful morning so we decided to take the boys to both hunts. They did quite well for themselves. Cooper was more about quantity while Carter insisted on quality (re. what kind of chocolate was inside). They had a great time together and both churches had activities beyond the egg hunt that they could take part in.

Here comes Peter Cottontail
2007It's right around the corner folks! We go every year to Town Center Mall to get pictures with the same bunny. Suzy went along with it this year, but I did have to "threaten" her to get her in the shot. Danny doesn't think it's too outrageous that I'll be calling Suzy home when she's 25 to get a bunny pic. I know I have my weird traditions, but c'mon it's fun to see how much the kids change from year to year.
Like the Easter egg hunt last weekend, Cooper did not have a problem at all with the rabbit. He sat right up in his lap and commenced with the smiling.
2 days until Cheese, Chocolate, and Colas. I have already bought 3 Cadbury eggs to indulge in. Suzy and I decided we are ordering pizza and making a chocolate cake for supper.
If I don't post anymore before Sunday.....Happy Easter Ya'll
