on to the next challenge

We are beginning our next 14 day challenge today.
Mom will be joining us on this one.

We will be exercising again for 14 days (45 minutes each day) but this time we are adding 6 bike rides on top of the running.

This should put us in great shape for the 2 races at the end of the month.

Sam came for a visit

Suzy and I got a great surprise on Sunday. Sammy came over with Papa to visit. He looks great, and is still the same great dog he always was. It was good to see the old fellow.

A day when the buffalo roamed

Once Again, there were no bathrooms open between our car and the stadium. Thanks Michael Adams!
UGA spent most of the 1st half defending our endzone Suzy loves UGA Football!!
Ralphie grazed in the endzone during halftime

We had a great time at the game, despite UGA allowing Colorado to trample us in the first half. We waited mid 3-quarter before leaving, but finally had to call it a day to get home to Mr. Coops. And yes mom, it was only a coincidence that UGA came alive after we left. My leaving the stadium had no impact on us making an amazing comeback, at least I hope that's the case! We screamed and blew our horn all the way up 316, listening to Munson on the radio.

Goal ACCOMPLISHED!!

The 14 day challenge is OVER!
Suzy and I are heading to the mall this weekend to pick out some pretty new shoes.
Of the 14 days
11 were running days
2 walking days
and 1 bike ride
That's 7 hours of working out
39 miles under our belt
and quite a few calories burned.

It was a good challenge, we are trying to think up another one to start on Saturday.

Guess who's 9 months old today?

COOPS!
Cooper went for his 9 month check up with Dr. Weil this afternoon
He is 23lbs 4 oz, 28.25 inches, with a head circumference of 18in
Which puts him in the 50th percentile range
He checked out well and for once, did not have an ear infection.
The Dr. did lecture me a bit about his middle of the night bottle. He says it's not necessary and we should probably put our foot down and wean him off of it. It sounds so easy, but it's a totally different story when it's 3 o'clock in the morning and all you want to do is go back to sleep. Maybe we will try it this weekend.

All that and a bag of potato chips

Davidson Reunion

We went to a family reunion on Sunday (9/18/06) for Grandma Maxham's side of the family. Most of the family lives around the Cassville area. It was held at the Farm.

It's not a family reunion unless you have a frisbee

Jumping is exhausting!

UGA vs. UAB

Suzy, Danny and I went to the UAB game, while Papa McEver spent a very busy day with the Coops. The game was great, Stafford is really coming into his own. Unfortunately, we couldn't concentrate on the game because of the happenings around us. The ticket holders in front of us were courteous enough to give their tickets to some gangster wannabe (<-tons of sarcasm) so we basically spent our time at the game watching him shoot birds to the crowd attempting to get on TV, or staring at his boxer shorts because his pants were pulled down to his knees. He ran everyone around us off and despite the attempts of this grandma (?) to keep him quiet, he just kept running his mouth. On top of that situation, some little kids were throwing rocks at cars on Hancock avenue and nicked the back window I just had replaced. And let's not get started on the bathroom situation. Did you know all the buildings on campus are completely locked down during games now? It wouldn't surprise me if next year, Michael Adams did away with the football program altogether!

Go Dawgs sic 'em ..... woof! woof! woof!

Fins to the left/ Fins to the right

In the great spirit of Jimmy Buffett, Cooper is going to be shark for Halloween.

By the way Dad, they did have a Panda costume but he looked a little too girlie in it

14 day challenge

We have to exercise for 14 days straight.
At the end of the 14 days, if we have been good, we get to reward ourselves.
So far that has been motivation enough!

7 down, 7 to go

We are halfway through with our 14 day challenge. 7 more days until new shoes! The past few nights we have been running the treadmills at the YMCA. It's been nice to get off the hard asphalt. Last night, Suzy did 3 miles in 30 minutes. She's really going to rock our next race.

Last swim of the summer

Suzy and Cooper are checking out the new baby pool at Grandma's house.

Helping Daddy out

I don't think Danny would have been able to put the TV table together without the assistance of his little helper

Balloons are fun

UGA v. W Kentucky

We had a wonderful time at the game. Papa Farmer and Grandma Sheryl stayed with Coops while we ventured over to Athens. The crowd was fired up but slowly started filtering out around half time. It was good to see our old seats and eat a stadium hotdog. All the quarterbacks did a decent job, I just hope the momentum rolls over to the SC game. The drive home was the pits. All the construction on 316 was a big stick in the mud. Can't wait until we play the gamecocks
